Services

Nurtured Psychology provides therapy for individuals aged 18 years and older for:

  • Transition to parenthood support

  • Infertility or concerns relating to conception

  • Pregnancy

  • Antenatal and Postnatal anxiety

  • Antenatal and Postnatal depression

  • Identity shifts during matrescence

  • Parenting skills and parenting support

  • Birth trauma

  • Anxiety conditions (not in the postpartum period)

  • Adjustment and life transitions

  • Self-esteem and self-worth

Fees

A standard 50-minute session is $285.

Nurtured Psychology is a private clinic and is unable to bulk bill clients.

** Please note: The APS National Schedule of suggested fees for a standard consultation is $330.

Medicare rebate

If you have a referral from your GP under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP), you are eligible for a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The current Medicare rebate for a clinical psychologist is $149.05 per session. The out-of-pocket expense for a standard session would be $135.95.

Payments from private health insurance and other third parties (NDIS and Work Cover) are not currently accepted.

Cancellation Policy

24 hours notice is required for appointment cancellations.

A fee equivalent to the full session will be charged for missed appointments and cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment time. This is a courtesy to treating clinicians and also to other clients who require care, and may be on our waitlist. You will receive a reminder SMS 3 days before each appointment allowing time to ensure you are able to attend. You are welcome to request to change your appointment to telehealth, if you are unable to attend in person.

Please note that non-attended appointments cannot be rebated through Medicare and the fee will be deducted from the credit card details provided at the time of booking or an invoice will be sent. Payment will be required before booking or attending another appointment.
