About Me

Hello, I’m Kim Burchmore.

I’m a clinical psychologist with over 16 years’ experience across government, not-for-profit and tertiary education sectors. My practice is grounded in a compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based approach that honours each person's unique story, strengths, and circumstances. I acknowledge that it takes incredible courage to attend therapy and I take time to allow space for you to go at your own pace. I am open to helping you better understand your struggles and work with you to build a life that feels meaningful and connected.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including attachment-based models, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Schema Therapy. This integrative framework allows therapy to be tailored to your individual needs and goals.

My work is guided by a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming lens, recognising the impact of life experiences, relationships, and differing ways of thinking, feeling, and engaging with the world. I am committed to creating an inclusive, respectful, and supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to explore challenges, build resilience, and foster meaningful change.
